A silence in which He is not sought ceases to speak to us." How shall we hear Him in all the noise? A good laugh lifts the heart. A nun teacher and friend told me once: "To make another laugh is to gain a special little blessing from God." She is indeed, a joyful saint. God does not expect sour and dour saints...He wishes them to be sharers of joy. We recall that Gospel means 'good news.' I recall someone saying: "They distorted the Good News so that it seems not so good and not so new." All fed as from one loaf at one table. 'Many are one' Ut Omnes unum sint. That all may be one: Christ's own prayer for unity. No matter what the externals may be, if we are each truly rooted in Christ, then, indeed, we dwell in wonderful unity. In fact, they are the echo of His silence." A wonderful prayer...to sit in the silence of God and dwell in His out pouring of love.
