Dr. Gene Scott Dies

I became familiar with Dr. Scott during the early 80s. He was on an adjacent satellite from the one my company was using. 24 hours a day he talked on the Westar satellite on transponder 2 with the University Network.

As a preacher, he often dressed like the character he was preaching about, while smoking a cigar at the same time.

At times I thought he was a lunatic, at other times a prophet. He could be on target one moment and in another world the next.

During these later years I would listen to him on WWCR on shortwave and go to sleep with him talking in my ears.

This J Man obituary about Scott is a classic. Worth reading.
