To Come to God in Prayer
Thanks to Don Brennan for this:
There is a certain joy and peace in daily contemplation. Drawing near
to God means, of course, pulling away from all that is not of God.
When the treasure is found are we not willing to leave the junk
behind?

TREASURE FOUND, JUNK STILL TO BE DISCARDED.....Truly, there is a wonderful joy in coming to the embrace of the Father...to be loved so unconditionally...to be held close to His heart. BUT the junk....still piled up in the corner. 'Lord, clean out my heart today...so many things to throw away. What shall I miss when I have YOU?'
