Friday Evening

Next Friday evening we will be in St. Louis preparing for the wedding of my nephew Breck Phillips. It was just over a year ago that our daughter, Melinda, married Mike. This will probably be the last big wedding in a long time.

This is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves are turning gold, the nights are growing colder -- in fact we had our first frost earlier in the week -- and one does not have to mow the grass every week. What a treat.
