Right in the nick of time! Thank you so much for this photo...in honor of Merton's 91st birthday (January 31st), we are beginning a Centering Prayer/Meditation Circle in the town where we live (Ladispoli, Italy). With God's grace a priest has offered to assist...this very special person has his 53rd birthday today (January 29th), his name is don Alberto. Please keep him in your prayers, that God may protect him and give him guidance, helping us all to do His will. (As you may know, centering prayer is currently not practiced in or near Rome...)
It is also the the Birthday of Mozart who was born 250 years ago(January 27th). Two great people (Merton and Mozart) , their legacy will never die.
As with Jesus, Merton and Mozart are more popular dead than alive.
