Chad Runyon
Chad Runyon did a concert while we were at the Abbey. What a beautiful baritone voice. He sang selections from the Merton-Niles songs, which were Merton's poetry set to music. Excellent !!
On Meditation -- "We choose our subject for meditation, focus the mind upon it, bringing the attention back again and again in order to look at various facets of the subject, and ask ourselves not only "Why does it mean?" but "What does it mean for me? What has it to do with my life?" (Douglas Steere) MY FAVORITE LINKS

Chad....Thanks for giving your gift back to God. Friend was about to quit the parish choir. I did not know this but said to him one day: "Neat...you are giving your gift back to God." A long time later, he told me that my encouragement made a difference and that he hung in there singing every Sunday. Blessings.
CHAD.....Suggestion: Recently I sang for the prayer service in a church not of my denomination. I used the words 'AVE DOMINE' over and over...a little different chant sound each time....very simple. The titles of the Psalms make great songs for prayer time like Domine, in Te speravi...Lord, in Thee I hope. Laudate Dominum...Praise the Lord...Deus deorum...God of all gods. Ad Te Domine clamavo...To Thee, Lord, I call out... Blessings on your work.
