Journaling

Redondowriter has an excellent blog on Thomas Merton and Journaling. It is worth checking out.

Her work on journaling closely parallels my own. I have been through the Ira Progoff Journaling course also. It has been tremendously helpful. Check out the above.

TO WRITE EACH DAY.............Years ago, a dear friend gave me a book with blank but lined pages. You really should jot down some things. What a blessing...I am now on book 16. It has been an exercise that has been so instructive for me. At first, I thought: 'Why write it down?' What good is that? The first step in writing is pondering. That is the gem. "She pondered all these things in her heart." anon

Merton himself wrote daily...these notes became basis for some of his most insightful works. God might, someday, use these jottings, these 'nothings' like He used the few loaves and fish. Maybe....O Lord to serve You.....anon

GOODNESS............The good is not so much in the writing...but in the heart-thought that precedes it!
