Dayton Hamfest

On the way back from the Dayton Hamfest. Always enjoy it. I get to see
several of my National Radio Club buddies and see new radio equipment.
Bought a new homemade K8RA keyer which should be nice to use. Will be
fun to use with qrp radio. Liked this picture of Richard Nixon. Always
cool scenes there.

HUMBLE WORDS............T. Merton: "Words of humility are so simple, so gentle and so poor that they find their way to the very silence of God. In fact, they are the echo of His silence." A wonderful prayer...to sit in the silence of God and dwell in His out pouring of love. Don Brennan Warren MI

ONE BREAD..........Next Sunday, we will ponder 1 Cor 10 and how Paul reminds us of the unity that ought to dwell in the community of believers. All fed as from one loaf at one table. 'Many are one' Ut Omnes unum sint. That all may be one: Christ's own prayer for unity. No matter what the externals may be, if we are each truly rooted in Christ, then, indeed, we dwell in wonderful unity. Don Brennan

FUN AS GOD'S AID............The fun we bring into others' lives is a blessing for them and for us as well. A good laugh lifts the heart. A nun teacher and friend told me once: "To make another laugh is to gain a special little blessing from God." She is indeed, a joyful saint. God does not expect sour and dour saints...He wishes them to be sharers of joy. We recall that Gospel means 'good news.' I recall someone saying: "They distorted the Good News so that it seems not so good and not so new." Don Brennan Warren MI

SILENCE............T.Merton: "Inner silence depends on a continual seeking, a continued cry in the night, a repentant bending over the abyss... A silence in which He is not sought ceases to speak to us." How shall we hear Him in all the noise? Don Brennan Warren MI
