Early Morning

It has been one of those busy weeks. The attempt to buy gifts, heavy traffic, the parties, the time spent with the dying, the time of preparation for death.

Yes, Sunday morning ! 28 degrees. Clear and sunny. I am reading meager portions of Silent Lamp by Willam Shannon and am always appreciative of his knowledge of Merton and how Shannon involves himself in the story. I am always amazed at the number of Merton biographies: Furlong, Mott, Waldron, Shannon, Padovanno, Kramer, etc.

Yes, Sunday Morning !

"We read the Gospels not merely to get a picture or an idea of Christ
but to enter in and pass through the words of revelation to establish,
by faith, a vital contact with the Christ Who dwells in our souls."<
