ON THE JOB........Our hats off for the public servants who really inspire us with their continual dedication. God bless them. Every AM I pray for those who died at WTC and all those left behind who miss them. There were five with the same last name as mine...they are listed in a book of prayers that I use, and are mentioned each by name. Blessings for them and their loved ones.

APPRECIATION......Simple word with lots of love behind it. Last night, I talked with a lady who works many hours a week because the place where she works does not want to hire more people...result: everyone in their employ is way too busy and the shift becomes very difficult with so many people asking for help NOW. I expressed appreciation and thanked her. She was so pleased with the kind words. It does not take much effort, but how nice to be appreciated. Our caring about God overflows into a caring about man.

COMRADES......I always admired the firemen and their spirit of comradeship. Together and with differences, of course, but nevertheless, always working together for the common good at hand. Like brothers... Other work situations could learn greatly from their spirit. Wife's uncle was a fire chief and so loyal and dedicated to 'his men.' Would make his family a little jealous at times.
