Wednesday Night Poetry

Wednesday Night Poetry

The cat has been out all night
He has slept all day
A mockingbird chirps when I go outside
I am late taking out the garbage
My toes tingle on both feet
I do not have the tv on
I am not reading.

When Abram died this morning of a liver
Refusing to function
His Mom said, "he was a good boy going to be with Jesus. His only
problem was he liked to drink."

It is cool outside. Compline time. A way of
Saying goodnight.

Now the darkness.

POEM AT EVENTIDE:
Sun gone to rest
And time for us as well.
The day has passed;
Time to rest
Time to be blessed
By God.
A time to be with loved ones;
Just together and
Their presence alone is 'sharing.'
Compline always contains prayers of thanks;
Prayers for those in any need;
Prayers for those places where there is no prayer at all.
Concerns over the morrow;
And 'Good night' with love to God.

NOW THE DARKNESS.....So to rest and ready ourselves for the day of the morrow. The cover of darkness tucks us in. So great His love and care...He is busy everywhere! db

WHEN THE DAY ENDS...........
Time to rest in stillness;
Time to let the cares go on by;
Time to be refreshed and renewed.
God shall keep the watches
And the sheep shall find rest.
