My father-in-law is dying at the VA hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. Most of the family is here. Pray for peace for him and no pain. He is 88 years old. His birthday is August 21. He is the oldest living veteran in Overton County, TN. He was one of the soldiers who was involved on
D-Day.
Note: He passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Monday Night, August 15, 2005.

I am praying for peace for him, for no pain, and for peace for all of you...
May the difficult journey of 'the watch' bring you ALL blessings despite the pain involved.
Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;
In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you;
In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;
In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.
May your rest be this day in peace,
and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.
Dan -
My prayer for you and the rest of the family is that those moments that will come when you will each be overwhelmed by a memory, or a sense of what your father would have said or done, would bring more tears of joy for having known him than tears of grief for being (albeit temporarily) apart from him.
grace & peace
Kenny, thanks for the kind comments.
