Lynn R. Szabo
Lynn Szabo is a Professor of English at Trinity Western University in British Colombia. She directed our ITMS retreat at the Abbey this weekend. She, Paul Pearson, and Erlinda Paguio were the planners for this event and did an exceptional job.
Lynn has a new Merton out. The title is In the Dark Before Dawn and is composed of New Selected Poems of Thomas Merton. A Good read ! Thanks Lynn for your leadership.

FAITH..............A little bird sings out in the darkness before the dawn and so expresses faith in the day not yet arrived.
POETRY...........What is poetry? 'A manner of expressing a thought that captures the heart of the reader.' Certainly, the poetry of Merton fits this description.
