Montana's with Merton
It is 19 degrees this morning in red lodge Montana. The pastors and their wives are great. Some have. Driven over 500 miles to bed here. They are a wonderful group of God's servants.
Many had never heard of Thomas merton. The weather is cold. I am in a lonely cabin. I am in a nice lonely cabin in the woods like Thoreau's. Expecting a great day in the Lord.

FILL ME, USE ME..........The Holy Spirit wills to flow to the hearts of all who seek God. He uses those who do His bidding. They are conduits of much insight and wisdom. They touch hearts only through the grace and power of His might. Abundant blessings on all your gatherings.
CHRIST AND HIS PEOPLE........One of the things that Christ sought in His followers was the gathering together, sharing of their stories, eating together, drinking at the table together, being support for each other, sharing the gifts...all in His memory. 'Do this as a memorial of Me.'
NICE LONELY CABIN....Interesting thought...There are times when that is just what our inmost selves need and desire..to be alone. In a stillness we lean much that we miss in our too full and 'hurry' days.
PRAYER
reaching up
only to find
Him reaching down.
THAT PATH..................There is a path by which God came to be with us..LOVE. That same path is our route back to Him...LOVE.
CHOICE
When we intend good
We have already begun that good.
He loves the intention
and the deed.
EXAMPLE, DO NOT FOLLOW.....Matt 23:3 "The good they teach, follow that....The evil examples, ignore them...do not imitate them." anon
HONESTY AND COMPASSION
Whenever they meet
Whenever they work together
Great things happen.
HOPE
Off there, somewhere
Is a good I anticipate
Just not here yet.
FAITH
The bird sings
To the new day...
But it is still dark!
LOVE
A giving that flows out
Not expecting repayment
But rejoices in the giving only.
SAD
The invitation unheeded
Not even replied to
Loss indeed.
